“Central Europe’s most successful extreme-right wing party has consistently denied that it is antisemitic, or racist, despite mounting evidence to the contrary.

The call by a member of extreme-right opposition party Jobbik to compile a list of Jews living in Hungary only confirmed what many opponents of the party already suspected. In addition to the anti-Roma rhetoric that played such a part in the election campaign that won it 17 per cent of the vote in 2010, the party appears increasingly willing to play on latent antisemitic sentiment.”
