Police cleared of discrimination charges | Local News | News – Radio Frontier

“A group of Roma in Geneva have lost a discrimination case they had brought against Geneva police. The police had issued several members of the Roma community in Geneva with fines, claiming they were breaking the city’s anti-begging laws.

The group, represented by Dina Bazarbachi, a lawyer who runs a Roma rights group in Geneva called Mesemrom, claim that police were only issuing Roma beggars with fines, allowing other beggars to do as they please.”
